Spotify’s Back Office Operations Get a Boost

​Spotify has acquired cloud-based platform Preact, which uses machine learning, big data analytics and behavioral science to predict customer health, in an effort to lower churn and build-up their existing subscriber base. 

“Finding the trends and behavior patterns in our data that correlate with paid subscriptions is incredibly valuable,” said Jason Richman, VP of Product at Spotify, in a statement in Techcrunch. “The addition of Preact to Spotify's team will help us design experiences that grow our premium customer base.”
