Entrepreneurs have long turned to angel investors to provide initial funding to their start-up ventures. Finding these investors, however, has proven elusive: entrepreneurs needed to navigate personal networks and negotiate behind closed doors.
 

No more, says Naval Ravikant, co-founder and CEO of AngelList, a San Francisco based start-up, whose mission it is to “to make startup investing transparent, efficient, and more open.” AngelList is essentially a social networking site for start-ups, which can fill out profiles and pitch their ideas to potential investors.
