Hotel Loyalty Programs

If you have employees who are just looking for a place to stop for the night while traveling, they are probably looking for the cheapest price or most convenient location. They may not be considering making their hotel choice based on a hotel loyalty program. However, choosing a hotel that participates in a loyalty program can definitely be cheap and convenient.

Many budget hotels participate in loyalty programs, so chances are a hotel included in the program isn't far away. For instance, Choice Hotels has a loyalty program that includes Comfort Inn, Quality Inn, and Econolodge. The Wyndham hotels program includes Ramada, Super 8, Days Inn, Howard Johnson, and Travelodge. Both these programs include earning points that can be used toward free hotel stays. So while each individual hotel stay might not be the absolute cheapest option, the free night balances that out.

This can be a great way to stretch a small business' travel budget.
