The U.S. government is making a concerted effort to assist small businesses across the country by providing them with online tools to help run their business. This push to online acknowledges the fact that people are using and influenced by the World Wide Web and social media more and more. With small businesses looking to get advice and gain an edge by any means necessary, the Internet serves as a simple and effective outlet to receive and learn information. Five of the most useful Web services deployed by the U.S. government can be found here.

These services range from the Small Business Association Web site and its “SBA Direct” interface, which will help small business owners find answers to the questions they have about specific aspects of their business, to a Web site dedicated solely to helping small business owners figure out what health care plan is right for themselves and their employees.
